Rugby Estate Agent

How our boards look for Rugby Clients...

Skilton & Hogg Estate Agents are now fully able to market homes for customers in Rugby as well as Daventry and the surrounding Villages. We are a Rugby Estate Agent and a Daventry Estate Agent.

Whilst one town sits in Warwickshire and the other in Northamptonshire, the two towns have been closely linked for many many years. With only a few miles separating them, the two towns have similar properties and pricing and both sit on major road networks. Making them very popular spots for commuters.

Rugby

I have close ties to both towns. Having lived in one for all of my life and my wife in the other. Rugby is a bustling town having seen significant growth over the last two decades. Primarily driven by the ease of commuting via Rugby’s direct train line to London and Birmingham.

Historically, Rugby has always been central to the regions transport industry as it sits nestled between every major road network. With it’s central location in the UK, Rugby allows access to everywhere in England without too much travel time.

What’s in Rugby?

I think the question is what isn’t. Still classed as a market town, Rugby is a little more than that now. A vibrant town centre provides independent shops, a shopping precinct, plentiful parking and a range of restaurants, bars and venues to entertain all age groups. Furthermore, some very historic landmarks and period buildings show its historic past.

One major landmark and historically important place is Rugby School. The location and origin of Rugby Football. The place where William Webb Ellis picked up a football and ran with it. The school still operates and receives children from all parts of the World.

Just recently, Rugby has seen extensive investment which includes a large shopping centre on the outskirts of the town. Elliot’s Field and Junction One retail parks straddle the Leicester Road and provide ample shopping options to cater for most tastes. Plus more eateries to satisfy those hunger pains.

Access to Rugby

Rugby’s enviable position provides access to Junction 1 of the M6, Junction 18 of the M1, the main thoroughfares of the A45, A5, A361 which leads to the major towns and cities of Coventry, Leicester, Daventry, Northampton, Nuneaton and Birmingham.

Main train lines run regularly to London Euston, Birmingham New street, Northampton, Leicester and pretty much everywhere else.

Property in Rugby

Rugby, being one of the largest Districts in Warwickshire, has a large number of homes an a multitude of different types of home builds. Some cottages date back to the 1600’s in locations such as Clifton and Hillmorton. A large number of homes in central Rugby are of the Victorian era – period terraced housing on Murray Road, Oxford and Cambridge Street. Beautiful stately homes sit on Hillmorton Road, Bilton Road and then there is Dunchurch with iconic thatched cottages and the famous Dunn Cow Inn. Therefore, you can find most property types in Rugby.

The main areas of Rugby are Rugby town centre, Bilton, New Bilton, Hillmorton, Newbold, Clifton, Dunchurch, Brownsover, Houlton, Coton Fields and many villages surrounding. These include Kilsby, Barby, Monks Kirby, Stretton on Dunsmore, Long Lawford, Church Lawford, Brinklow, Crick and many more.

Choosing a Rugby Estate Agent

Having grown up in the town and worked within the industry for some time, I have a great understanding of the area and what is needed to help people move home. Picking your Estate Agent to sell you Rugby home is certainly an important factor.

What I believe to be vital is close support and as an agent, being accessible at all times. Most high street agents have opening and closing times and tend to punch out and switch off at the end of that day.

Modern Estate Agency is different now. Agents such as myself are accessible at anytime. We generally do not have defined hours although it may state that on a google business profile.

Being self employed, my motivation is somewhat different to an employed estate agent, as the work I do is intrinsically linked with my business, my ability to pay bills and exist!

I take huge pride in the marketing of my clients property. Photography is very very important. As is good video tours. We advertise on Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. We utilise social media targeted marketing across facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
